Salk Neuroscience Bioinformatics Core

We provide one of two core bioinformatics services for the Neuroscience Blueprint Initiative that covers multiple institutions on the La Jolla Mesa. The other core is at the Burnham Institute. Researchers may use either core. The specific strenghts of the Salk core include:

• Protein sequence analysis, particularly using comparative genomics and evolution.
• Determining the logic of gene expression patterns by comparative genomics of promoters linked to expression studies.
• Signal transduction, particularly through Protein Kinase regulation.
